From vibrant cities to picturesque campuses, international students can immerse themselves in a safe and multicultural society while gaining valuable skills and knowledge. Canada’s education system is renowned for its excellence and innovation, making it a top choice for students worldwide.
STUDY PERMIT REQUIREMENTS
The study permit is a document that allows individuals to legally study at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada. When applying for a study permit, foreign nationals must meet specific eligibility requirements and adhere to certain conditions throughout their stay in Canada.
Applying for a study permit involves several steps, and processing times vary depending on the applicant’s country of origin. Therefore, it is advisable to plan ahead to ensure that the permit is processed before the start of the study period. Most Canadian post-secondary programs start in September, January, or May, although some programs have intakes at other times.
Foreign nationals should be aware that they cannot apply for a study permit without an acceptance letter from a DLI. Therefore, it is important to check the start dates and application processes of their chosen schools and programs well in advance to allow for sufficient time to obtain the acceptance letter and complete the study permit application.
