Carefully review each stream’s criteria to determine your eligibility.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is an immigration program that allows the province of Manitoba in Canada to nominate skilled workers, businesspeople, and international graduates to become permanent residents of the province. The MPNP is designed to address the specific labor market and economic needs of Manitoba.

There are two types of immigration streams available through Canadian provinces: base streams and enhanced streams. Enhanced streams are aligned with the federal government’s Express Entry system, which manages permanent residency applications for the country’s main economic class immigration programs. Candidates in enhanced streams receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) point score and an additional 600 points for a provincial nomination, virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency. Nominations for enhanced streams are processed through the Express Entry profile. In contrast, base streams are not aligned with the Express Entry system, and candidates who receive a provincial nomination must apply directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

If you are considering immigrating to Manitoba, you have a range of options to explore. The province offers five distinct immigration streams to cater to different categories of individuals:

  1. Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
  2. Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
  3. Manitoba Business Investor Stream
  4. International Education Stream
  5. Morden Community Driven Initiative

Each stream has its own set of eligibility criteria and requirements, so it is important to carefully review the specific details of each program to determine which one aligns best with your circumstances and goals.
