The Caregiver Program in Canada provides employment opportunities for foreign individuals who want to work as caregivers. It includes the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot, catering to individuals with experience in childcare or caring for the elderly and disabled. After fulfilling the required work experience, caregivers can apply for permanent residency, meeting criteria such as language proficiency, education, experience, and security clearances.
The Caregiver Program in Canada is designed to provide employment opportunities for foreign individuals who are willing to work as caregivers in Canada and contribute to the country’s healthcare and caregiving sector. This program offers two pathways: the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot.
1. Home Child Care Provider Pilot: This pathway is for individuals who have experience in caring for children.
2. Home Support Worker Pilot: This pathway is for individuals who have experience in caring for elderly or people with disabilities.
Both pilots offer a pathway to permanent residency for caregivers after completing the required work experience in Canada. To be eligible for permanent residency, caregivers must meet certain criteria, including language proficiency, education, work experience, and medical and security clearances.
