The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) is an immigration program that allows British Columbia to nominate qualified individuals for permanent residency in Canada. It has different streams tailored to skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and tech professionals. Streams include skill-based immigration, Express Entry BC, Entrepreneur Immigration, and Tech Pilot. Meeting the requirements of a BCPNP stream can increase the chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency. Contact us to discuss your eligibility for the BCPNP.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Programme (BCPNP) is a provincial immigration scheme that enables British Columbia to propose foreign people for permanent residence in Canada if they possess the qualifications in terms of education, training, and experience to support the province’s economy.
Different streams of the BCPNP are aimed at different types of people and business owners that desire to live and work in British Columbia. These streams consist of:
- Skill-based immigration: This category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers in occupations with strong demand in British Columbia. Five subcategories are included in it: Skilled Worker, Health Care Professional, International Graduate, International Post-Graduate, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled.
- Express Entry BC: This stream is compatible with the Express Entry system run by the federal government, which enables applicants with high Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores to be invited to submit an application for permanent residency. The three subcategories of Express Entry BC are Skilled Worker, Health Care Professional, and International Graduate.
- Entrepreneur Immigration: This category is for established business owners who seek to establish and operate a company in British Columbia. Regional Pilot and Base Category are two of its subcategories.
- Tech Pilot: This programme is for tech professionals who have received a job offer from a B.C. tech firm in one of 29 qualified tech vocations.
Candidates can apply to the programme and gain a nomination from the province if they match the requirements for one of the BCPNP streams. The odds of earning an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency are greatly increased by the additional 600 CRS points provided by a provincial nomination under the federal Express Entry system.
It’s crucial to remember that each stream has unique specifications and selection criteria. You may contact us to discuss your situation and eligibility for this programme.
